Kausani : a picturesque hill station of India

Kausani is located 52 km north of Almora in the state of Uttara Khand of India. There are very few places in the Himalayas which can compare with the beauty of Kausani – a picturesque hill station famous for its scenic splendour and its spectacular 300 km-wide panoramic view of  Himalayan peaks like Trisul, Nanda Devi and Panchchuli. Mahatma Gandhi called this place the ‘Switzerland of India’, due to similarity in landscape.

We reached from Nainital on a cloudy afternoon

In the evening the valley was covered with clouds but next morning we saw a spectacular view of the valley.
Next day early morning found the valley covered with thick clouds and nothing was visible. Villages in the valley found to be vanished from the scene.
