WPC : Wish

In response to this week’s Photo Challenge “Wish“, this photograph of Kalyaneswari Temple, near Maithon is shared with you.

This is the way of making wishes by the devotees in India. This is common sight in any temple complex here. They hang or tie a stone piece on the trunk of a tree with a hope of that the living deity of the temple will fulfill their wishes. Mostly childless couple seek the blessing of the deity for an issue.
